What’s Playing Now: How to Check Current Movies

“What’s playing now” is the cleanest version of a messy family of searches: movies in theaters now, movies that’s in theaters now, movies that in theaters now. They all want a local, lawful, current list. The failure mode is a poster wall last updated when the intern went back to school.

The only checklist we trust

1. Choose a city on the now-playing page.
2. Open official results for that city.
3. Click through to the theater you will actually enter.
4. Read title, rating, format, and clock together.

What we will not do

Use the city search, then open local results. A national top-ten is not the same as what’s playing near you.
